Biography

Stephanie has served as our Vice President of Legal since August 2017. Stephanie joined Alector from Genentech, Inc., where she held various roles of increasing responsibility between 2011 and 2017, including as Assistant General Counsel, Senior Counsel Specialist from March 2016 to August 2017, as Senior Patent Counsel from September 2013 to March 2016, and as Patent Counsel from March 2011 to September 2013. Prior to Genentech, Stephanie worked as an Associate at the law firm of Morrison & Foerster LLP from September 2006 to March 2011. Stephanie received a J.D. from Harvard Law School, a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in Genetics and Cell Biology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
